National Art Honors Society Winter Fundraiser By Anna Rosencrance

This past October the National Art Honors Society held a pumpkin paint night fundraiser to help raise money for an outdoor classroom for the art department. The Fundraiser was a great success bringing us one step closer to achieving that goal. In light of the paint night’s success, this winter the National Art Honor Society will be selling ornaments hand painted by the Art Club and NAHS members. The “Merry Grams” will be available for purchase during the week of December sixth, Monday thru Friday, during all lunch periods and will be sold at two dollars each. The event will run similarly to the sale of candy grams in previous years. Students will be able to select an ornament to purchase for a friend or teacher and it will be delivered on Tuesday, December 16th during the enrichment period.

The proceeds generated from the fundraiser will go towards the creation of an outdoor classroom for the art department which will provide the art students with the opportunity to work outside and be inspired by the outdoors. Mrs. Miller and the NAHS are very excited about the Merry Grams sale and are hoping that it will provide some added cheer and creativity to the holiday season at SJCP.
