Waking up for school is surely hard to do
Because I am a senior
I’m ready to be through
I’m counting down the days
I walk across that stage
I’ll see my family in the crowd
And know they must be proud
All the long and early mornings
The homeworks that could be boring
I’ll have to take it in
The feeling of success
And knowing I am done
Onto college now
Wow how time has flown
I remember elementary school, back home
I remember field day and trips
Ice cream and popsicle sticks
It makes me kind of sad though
I’ll have to admit
Even though it’s easier to pretend
Childhood has come to an end
