Barranquilla, Colombia is a beautiful place full of great food, people, and diverse culture. I recommend going to Barranquilla at least once in your life. It is the fourth largest city, known for its vibrant port on the Caribean Sea and Magdalena River. Though it is a bit industrious, it is a gorgeous city! However, if you are ever coming in February-March, you should go to one of the many parties of Carnaval de Barranquilla.
The Carnival de Barranquilla is known as Colombia’s most colorful celebration with numerous local venders, elaborate costumes, and various troupes of dancers, performers, and bands.

I also recommend going to the Zoológico Barranquilla. It might not be the most extravagant zoo you’ve ever seen, but it has many exotic and endangered species such as snakes, monkeys, and zebras.
Another place to visit, if you are in the mood to eat, is La Baguette: a place for amazing burgers that actually won the best burger in Colombia two years in a row!
Overall, Colombia is a great country, filled with diverse culture, and amazing people. If you are ever looking for a travel destination, look no further than Barranquilla, Colombia.
