Frida Kahlo & Diego Rivera Exhibit By Ella Lowry

On October 5th the AP Art and Design, Spanish three, and four classes went on a field trip to the Frida Kahlo and Diego River Exhibit. The entire experience was engaging, with all of the art pieces collectively working together to create the exhibit. each piece is beautiful and unique in its own way.

The students learned more about Frida and Diego’s art and life at the museum. They had previously done an in-class research project and presentation on either artist. There are multiple displays and rooms that represent both of the artist’s traditions and cultures.

One room, in particular, that stood out was the Immersive Room, where there are three hundred digital projections displayed on the walls of the room. The entire room is interactive and allows visitors to be fully transported into the art.

the entire experience is a great way to witness the gorgeous paintings composed by Diego and Frida. The meaning and passion that were put into these paintings are what make them so special.
